Prof Kaz Negishi is Professor of Medicine at the University of Sydney; Head of Discipline of Medicine at Nepean Clinical School; and a Cardiologist at Nepean Hospital, NSW, Australia. He had his Cardiology training and PhD in Japan, then spent three years in Cleveland Clinic, OH, USA before he came to Australia. He has been contributing extensively to the field of cardiovascular health, especially in cardiovascular Imaging >15 years. His interests are on therapeutic application of ultrasound (sonothrombolysis), subclinical cardiac dysfunction associated with diabetes, hypertension and cardio-oncology, as well as air pollution. His work on cardio-oncology has been cited in more than five European and American Cardio-Oncology guidelines as evidence-base for their algorithms.
